The Cromarty Firth corridor

Alness, Invergordon, Evanton, Dingwall — one continuous run of towns and villages. We're on the A9 through here almost every week, so travel is minimal and quotes are lean. If you're in this corridor, expect the same response time and pricing as you'd get in Tain.

Invergordon — port and industrial

Invergordon has a lot of ex-rental housing, ex-council stock and a big industrial footprint at the port. Common jobs: landlord EICRs on flats and terraces, board changes on 1970s Wimpey houses, three-phase work on smaller port-adjacent businesses. Alness has a similar mix.

Dingwall — mixed housing stock

Dingwall has everything from Victorian villas on the outskirts to 1980s new-builds on the estate. The Victorian stock nearly always benefits from a board change if it hasn't been touched — RCBOs on every circuit and surge protection. Most straightforward domestic consumer-unit replacements are completed within a day. More complex work, including three-phase installations, may take longer. We’ll discuss the expected duration when assessing the job. Newer properties usually just need the standard 5-year EICR.

Muir of Ord and the Black Isle edge

Bit further south — Muir of Ord, Beauly, up towards the Black Isle. Still comfortably within the local-work bracket. Steady work up here in holiday lets and older farmhouses.

One team, all trades

Need more than an electrician? We bring the whole crew.

Highland Sparks doesn't work alone. We work with the same team of trades we've used for years — joiners, plumbers, plasterers, decorators, tilers, roofers. Every one of them working to the same standard we do, and we all know how each other work. That's what stops jobs falling apart on site — no arguments about who does what, no gaps between trades, no fingers pointing when something goes wrong. If your job in Cromarty Firth (Dingwall, Alness, Invergordon) needs more than sparks work, we can quote and manage the whole thing.

One point of contact Deal with us, not five trades. We coordinate everyone, you get one WhatsApp thread.
One price One fixed quote for all works. No coordinating separate estimates — you see the full number.
One programme Trades sequenced properly. Plumbers before plasterers, electrics first-fixed before joinery closes up.
One warranty Something's wrong, ring us. You don't have to work out whose fault it is — we sort it.

Kitchen refit, bathroom install, full renovation, holiday-let refurb, extension fit-out — send the brief and we'll come back with one price for the lot.
